Throughout my teaching years, I spent hours searching for computer activities that helped teach content quicker or kept the students busy and on task while I caught up on grading.  I started a website to keep these links in categories, so my students could find them easily and decided the next step was to put these links in a searchable database.  I have included only the best learning interactive websites that have been used in the classroom and have been student tested.  Most of these activities are great for use in the classroom with an LCD projector or a white board, while some of the sites are better utilized in the computer lab.

The Big 3 - If you are going to take your students to a computer lab to work on one of these sites, you can make sure the plug-ins are installed by working through the three following links:

 Planet 10  (for Shockwave) (http://www.planet-science.com/planet10/solar_preload.html)

NewsMania (for Flash) (http://www.newseum.org/newsmania/)

Powers of 10  (for Javascript) (http://micro.magnet.fsu.edu/primer/java/scienceopticsu/powersof10/index.htm)

Note:  Some of these sites do not work with the Firefox Browser.
